Electronics & Heated Gear
The AKUANA team has developed a series of reliable and practical heated base layers designed specifically for divers. When worn under a wetsuit, the system warms the water between the body and the wetsuit, providing long-lasting thermal protection and significantly reducing the risk of hypothermia. With the latest micro-electronics technology, we are making diving easier and safer, while improving the interaction between equipment and diver—offering a simpler, more intuitive user experience unlike anything before. The Opah X heated vest offers two battery-placement configurations. The first option uses internal batteries that contact the body. Although this design may cause slight discomfort, it avoids the need to create holes in the heated garment. This version uses LiFePO₄ (LFP) batteries, which are extremely safe and stable, although their capacity is lower than NCM lithium batteries. The second option uses a high-capacity external NCM lithium battery mounted outside the wetsuit. For safety, the cable passes through the wetsuit through the neck zipper using an extension cable, avoiding damage to the suit. The NCM battery is more comfortable to wear and has larger capacity, longer operating time. Note: The internal-battery version is for wetsuit use only and must not be used with a drysuit.
